The Oregonian has been honored at past Arts Breakfast of Champions for its sustained record of donating advertising space and cash worth almost $400,000 to arts and cultural organizations each year. Since making the public aware of their work is a major challenge for all arts organizations, The Oregonian's donated advertising space is tremendously important and valuable. Even more important is The Oregonian's strong editorial support for arts funding and its extensive coverage of the visual and performing arts, in print and online and, increasingly, via blogs and podcasts.
