Executive Director: Virginia Willard
Virginia Willard has been Executive Director since January, 2000. Virginia spent 27 years in banking, and was most recently senior vice president of First Interstate Bank of Oregon (now Wells Fargo Bank.) She has served on many arts boards, including ten years on the board of Portland Opera, and four years on the Metropolitan Arts Commission (predecessor to the Regional Arts and Culture Council), serving as chair of both organizations. Associate Director: Susan Myers
Susan Myers has been with NW/BCA since 1994. She plans and implements all BCA programs, including the Arts Breakfast of Champions, Art of Leadership and Behind the Scenes member receptions. She has a BA degree in art history (University of Colorado) and worked previously at the Washington Commission for the Humanities and the International Sculpture Center. Communications and Membership Manager: Laura Becker
Laura Becker joined the staff of NW/BCA in December 2003. Originally from New Jersey, Laura received her BA in art history with a concentration in cinema studies from George Washington University in Washington DC. After graduating from GWU, Laura worked at the Center for Arts and Culture, an independent think tank for arts and cultural policy issues. After moving to Portland in 2002, she worked in the membership department at the Portland Art Museum before coming to NW/BCA.
